Til Kingdom Come (Will's Song)
Still my heart and hold my tongue
I feel my time My time has come
Let me inUnlock the door
I never felt this way before
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummer begins to drum
I don’t know which way I’m going
I don’t know which way I’ve come
Hold my head inside your hands
I need someone who understands
I need someone, someone who hears
For you I’ve waited all these years
For you I’d wait 'til kingdom come
Until my day, my day is done
Until my day, my day is done
And say you'll come and set me free
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
In your tears and in your blood
In your fire and in your flood
I hear you laugh, I heard you sing
I wouldn’t change a single thing
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummers begin to drum
I don’t know which way I’m going
I don’t know what I’ve become
For you I’d wait 'til kingdom come
Until my days, my days are done
And say you'll come and set me free
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
This was the song I selected to be played at Will's birth. I think it still works.
I just got these pictures of Will from the NILMDTS photographer today. I have more if you are interested in seeing them. The photog gave me the master disc, so (Brandi) you can have a copy if you like.
He was so beautiful. The pics were taken at about 10:30 am (he was born at 1:28 am), so he doesn't look quite the way he did when I held him and said goodbye to him. But he was beautiful, nonetheless.
And thank you to Elizabeth, who sat with Will during the photo session (that's her finger he has his hand wrapped around). She's an incredible aunt and sister. She arranged the whole NILMDTS session, and I am more grateful for that than I could ever find the words to express.
Love to you all.

He's just as perfect as I dreamed he would be. Of course I would love to see more when you have time and our family would love to have one. We miss him so....
Susan, he is so beautiful. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. I would love to see more pictures. I would like to have a picture of him, if possible. I love you so much! Lea
susan, thank you for sharing these precious pictures....i weep with you, dear girl, for what you have lost...he is just so beautiful. i am so, so sorry, and so glad, too, that you have these gorgeous pictures...
Oh man, I haven't cried that much since I saw him that night and kissed his sweet cheek while crying tears on his baby pink face. We all miss him and love him so much, but not as much as his Mommy. I am so very proud and in awe of how strong you have been, I know Will is too and watching down from above proud to be your son. I love you so very much.
Susan, thank you so much for sharing this with us. My heart soars with joy even as it breaks in to pieces. A beautuful baby boy, a precious, wonderful mommy...and an Aunt Elizabeth with the strength and compassion to do what she needed to do. Of course, I want a picture of Will...to add to the ones in my mind. You have no idea how much I love you!!!
Auntie
just read through the lyrics again... i think it works even better now. it's amazing.
Hey Susan, Will is beautiful and perfect. I'm sorry that things happened this way and not the way everyone had hoped and planned. It seems cliche to say, 'he's in the perfect place' but really in my heart (that breaks for you and your family) I long to be in the physical presence of Jesus and I know that Will is completely cared for and he'll never know the pain or hurt that this world has to offer. To know and experience the perfect love of Christ from birth is an awesome privileged even though the result is devastating for y'all. John Mark and I prayed for you and Shannon the night you delivered your sweet boy (i ran into Daniel at Kroger and he told me what happened) and we are still praying for y'alls hearts. I am so sorry that he wasn't here longer, I'm sure he would have been remarkable.
